Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto The Inventor Of Bitcoin?

The identity of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto has been claimed by a number of people by now. The latest claimant is Aussie computer scientist Craig Wright. In the beginning of this month, all the financial media was buzzing with speculation whether this new claimant is genuine or just another fake person like the previous persons.

We may never know the true identity of the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Australian academic Craig Wright has reportedly confirmed himself as the Bitcoin creator, signing messages with cryptographic keys said to solely belong to Satoshi in private sessions with a handful of media organizations and community luminaries. But within minutes of Wright’s claims being published, encryption experts have expressed doubt.

While we may not know who he (or she) was, we know what he did. Satoshi Nakamoto was the inventor of the bitcoin protocol, publishing a paper via the Cryptography Mailing List in November 2008.

He then released the first version of the bitcoin software client in 2009, and participated with others on the project via mailing lists, until he finally began to fade from the community toward the end of 2010.

Nakamoto worked with people on the open-source team, but took care never to reveal anything personal about himself, and the last anyone heard from him was in the spring of 2011, when he said that he had “moved on to other things”.

There are a certain things that a Bitcoin creator claimant has to proof beyond a shadow of doubt. He should be able to move bitcoins from the early address blocks. Experts believe that only the real Satoshi Nakamoto can do that.

The Australian entrepreneur who has claimed to be the inventor of Bitcoin has reneged on a promise to present new “proof” to support his case.

Craig Wright had pledged to move some of the virtual currency from one of its early address blocks, an act many believe can only be done by the tech’s creator.

There are also a number of discrepancies that have been picked up. So this new claimant will have to prove a number of things to the skeptics if he wants to be accepted as the real Bitcoin creator. As said above he needs to move the bitcoins from the early address books that were created by Satoshi Nakamoto. Experts also believe that Satoshi Nakamoto should be a rick man. His net worth should be something in excess of $450 million since he owned many bitcoins that were created in the beginning. Mr. Craig Wright has not been able to show whether he can move the bitcoins from the early address book. Secondly he has still not shown what is his net worth is.
